Christmas Gift Exchange Details

Hello Friends!

If you are a here-that means you LOVE Christmas, you love stitching, you love exchanges and you are a friend :) I am so happy to have you all here :) I KNOW this will be a FUN exchange :)
Ok-even though we are all experienced in stitching and exchanging-we still have to have some guidelines :) They are fairly simple for this wonderful group :)

What do I stitch? You may choose anything you think your partner will like. It can be Christmas, but does not have to be (unless your partner requests in the sign-up email that it be Christmas related)You will receive information about your partner-please pay attention to the information as it will be very helpful in determining what to stitch for your partner and what extras would be enjoyed.

How Do I finish my item? Stitcher may choose ANY finish they wish-but exchange MUST be in finished form.

What fabric do I use? You may use LINEN and/or EVENWEAVE. NO AIDA!

When do I send? You may send at ANY time -however, you MUST send by December 1, 2009 to ensure Christmas Delivery. If you can send earlier-that's WONDERFUL!

Do I send Extras? Absolutely if you want to. However it is not mandatory, but as this is a Christmas Gift exchange a little something extra for your special friend would be a lovely thought.

Is this an international group? YES

When I mail do I let you know? YES, please post to the blog when you MAIL and or RECEIVE. And PLEASE post a picture of the exchange you received. If you do not have means to post a picture-please let the sender know so they can post for you. Please post your THANK YOU's as well as a picture in a timely manner. You want to let your sender know you have received and that you APPRECIATE their efforts in the exchange.

What happens if I am late mailing? PLEASE try not to be late-as this is a Christmas gift exchange and you want to ensure your friend receives their lovely gift(s) before Christmas.

What happens if my exchange goes missing in the mail? You will need to stitch and send a replacement in a timely manner.

Mailing deadline for exchange is December 1 , 2009. You may mail earlier.

I shall edit and update this post when I have taken a photo, camera on charge at the moment.

It's on it's way....

I hope the recipient likes it. The only problem is it's not wrapped for Christmas. :-( DUH - that's about all I can say at this point. I packed it, sent it out & THEN thought about it. Oh well, the thought it the same at least (hanging my head in embarrassment).

LOOK... My Present Arrived!!!!!!

OK... I have to start by saying that I hope I am half as good as Marie is at granting wishes and at gathering items that my person is getting.

All I can say is that Wishes do come true!

I start by saying that this WONDERFUL Candle mat now Graces my entry way in my home. The stitches are divine, and the finish work immaculate! I had to take an up close picture of it to show you all! Marie Listed this as :

OK here is the part that I have to expand on! I list this a few weeks back as a Wish for Christmas... I have been unemployed for over a year and there is not a lot of extra cash for what I call Trinket type things... Things that are "wants" not "needs" I listed that I have wanted one of these little Christmas elves for a LONG TIME!!!! Marie.. almost had me crying when I opened this lil guy! She had to pull up my blog and go the extra mile for something that I actually had stated wanting. WOW!!! and look at that Cute lil face... This is such a cutie patootie!!! I just love it!!!

Folks this might not be the right place to say this ... but for the few that are in these exchanges and putting 50% of their efforts into it. I have to STRESS now much of a BLESSING this little guy was to me! Marie... THANK YOU for caring enough for a STRANGER that you have never met to Bless them in this way!

NOW...

If that was not enough... I have to now show you the ENTIRE PACKAGE... yes... folks there is even MORE!!!!!
Look at all the goodies together... My little elf... my Gorgeous Candle Mat with a beautiful candle and glass candle holder.. a pack of needles... a box of red pearl pins... a Snowman Kleenex case filled and ready to go... some wonderful snowman fabric... and some deep red floss that I can not wait to try out!

Marie... THANK YOU from the very bottom of my heart! You have made my holiday with this present!

Just to let you know that I have received from Dear Cathy, as yet I haven't opened it all, but I know from past experience that whatever Cathy has made for me will be amazing, I'm trying to hold off from opening, but I bet I don't LOL!!

Christmas Gift arrives in SF

Yesterday the mail brought a lovely gift from Becky K - here is a snap -

Becky stitched me a super PS Ornament - with Santa and Reindeer - and finished it beautifully. Included in my package were two lovely charts some of my favorite JJ petits a beautiful piece of Christmas fabric and a little stand. Thank you so much Becky I love everything!!!

Thanks Andrea - I was absolutely blown away when I opened the package. This is simply beautiful in real life. I just wish I could hug you, it is an exquisitely finished and just perfect.



Frankly this photo sucks and when I have my tree and associated finery in place (all in our shed at the moment) I'll retake this and replace these photos.

Hello Friends...

I hope you all have had a fabulous October :) Fall has tried to grace us here in SC, with a few cool days, but for the most part we are still pretty warm. When I look out my back door though I am reminded that it IS fall as the leaves are turning and my yard is covered with fallen leaves :)

I am here to send out a friendly reminder that our Christmas goodies are due out in a little over a month-December 1, 2009 :) I have been stitching for and finding goodies for my recipient that I hope they will enjoy :) It's been GREAT fun putting my gifts together :) I still need to do the finishing on my stitched piece-which I am looking forward to- I am ALSO looking forward to seeing what wonderful gifts are exchanged between friends :)
